A sauna relieves stress, relaxes muscles and joints, and soothes aches and pain in such a pleasurable way. While flushing the toxins from your skin, saunas cleanse the skin and add a soft suppleness to it. Did you know that spending time in the sauna can induce better sleep? Saunas also improve cardiovascular performance, burn calories, and help fight illness. And relaxing in the sauna just plain feels great!

The main difference between a wet and dry sauna is the water that is splashed over the rocks in a sauna that is wet. Because the rocks are heated to such an extreme temperature, the water vaporizes very quickly causing steam to form. In a dry sauna, there is no water, just heated rocks. When you sit in a wet sauna, you sweat, which causes unwanted toxins to leave your body. It is also believed that using a wet sauna on a regular basis can decrease one's chances of certain illnesses because many viruses cannot live in such high temperatures.

Fire and Ice's Boston sauna makes your visit so pleasant a time you will be sure to return often. Saunas are wonderful places to meet with friends for relaxing moments and a different way to spend quality time. Our spa is comfortable and welcoming and promotes healing, calmness and well-being. Spending quiet time can balance your emotions and spirit and prepare you for whatever may be on your very busy agenda. Taking time for yourself is an important aspect in life, and one that is frequently overlooked. While in the sauna, your time belongs to you. Take time for silent rejuvenation, or spend it in the company of others who crave the same relaxation and calming environment.

Giving someone sauna-time at Fire and Ice Spa is a great gift and a wonderful way to wish someone health and serenity. If you have a friend who is difficult to buy for or surprise, this is a chance to give something unexpected and delightful. Whether the recipient chooses quiet alone time or comes with other friends, it is the gift that will be remembered.
